Needing a low calorie snack that includes veggies? Carrots are a great snack for crunching and the hummus helps to fill you up. I talk with many who don’t care for hummus until they learn that it is just simply bean dip. It is mixed with tahini paste which is made from ground sesame seeds. No frig on hand and you need a quick snack that will keep at room temp? Well, how about peanut butter and graham crackers. They can both contribute to a feeling of fullness while providing healthy nutrients. This is a snack that really has easy prep. Just get the peanut butter and spread on the graham crackers. A Creamy, Cool Snack

Yogurt can be quick, easy and healthy and it can also be very confusing to know which one to take home off the shelf. I like Voskos brand (purchased from Sprouts) plain nonfat Greek yogurt. I have used other brands and they work as well, just check the label. Mix with fresh fruit that is on hand to provide more volume so it will be more filling without expanding your waistline.
